Processes for Improving Education Quality at NACE Schools
At NACE, we understand that the world we live in is in a process of constant change, and that we must meet the needs of 21st Century pupils.
Furthermore, we believe that we all must learn and innovate to improve. This applies to the entire NACE community: employees and pupils, teachers, and management teams.
As an international education group, we have the advantage of being able to share our best practices and help all of us to improve.
At NACE Schools, we have developed our own definition of quality:
“The most important pupils of a school are the teachers”
11 June 2016
With the objective of supporting our teachers in the process of improving education, NACE organises and teaches high quality training. For example, in the recent “Impact on Learning” we dealt with fundamental aspects in improving the quality and impact of teaching.
- Techniques to improve the use of questions in class
- Tasks which motivate and challenge pupils
- The systematic monitoring of pupils’ progress
- The importance of regular and effective feedback between teachers and pupils.
Other education workshops carried out at NACE Schools lately include:
- GAVEA project: the introduction of technology in the classroom to impact learning
- Computer Science: extending our planning in the Primary and Secondary Education stages
- Infantium Project: use of a digital platform to strengthen multiple intelligences in Infant Education
- Training workshops for IB (International Baccalaureate) teachers
At Agora Sant Cugat International School we have specialist teachers in constant training, who are completely dedicated to our pupils’ development and learning. Our teachers are a team which works day after day collaborating with each other to constantly learn and update their knowledge: attending debates, round tables, and training courses which enable them to learn about the very latest advances in education.
At Agora Sant Cugat International School, the role of the teacher is of great importance in developing the pupils’ abilities, because the pupils’ motivation and happiness depends on them throughout learning. Furthermore, our teachers have received specialist training to help them support pupils who need special attention as a result of physical, cognitive, or emotional characteristics.
Our teachers are a team which works alongside our families to offer pupils a global education. The teachers establish a link with families so that they become involved, and so that tutorials, which improve both each pupil’s individual learning and the classroom atmosphere, are possible.
Personalised attention is the foundation of our efforts to be a team of prepared, specialist teachers. In order to develop our pupils’ skills to the maximum, we first learn about them individually. Thanks to our specialist teachers, we learn about each pupil’s personality in depth to understand their learning abilities and show them the best of themselves. In this way, our teachers can guide pupils in discovering their own possibilities, and in standing out in what they love. To achieve complete personal and academic success, we develop and improve the skills which they find most difficult, via methodologies which enable individualisation (Multi-level activities, reduced group sizes, support, etc.).
Our teachers have developed the personalisation of learning to the extent that they work in an individual way both with those pupils who require it, as well as in the case of High Abilities and multiple intelligences. Individualised plans to boost their abilities and skills, in these cases, is what sets us apart from other schools. Through personalised treatment we seek to ensure that both pupils with difficulties and gifted pupils find the perfect environment to achieve educational excellence at Agora Sant Cugat International School.
